Karishma qualified from Kings College London in 2006 and continued her pre-registration pharmacist training in community pharmacy. In 2017 Karishma studied further at Keele University and under supervision of Dr Shilpa Patel to become an independent pharmacist prescriber with a special focus on diabetes. Karishma joined Acrefield Surgery in June 2018 and her main areas include medication reviews, medicines management, telephone consultations, triage for minor ailments, diabetes clinics and increasing the quality and safety of prescribing mechanisms in the surgery.
